The mission statement developed by the Board of Directors has established a commitment to manage APA so that its services are available to all community members.
The specialized advocacy services secure medications for clients who have a valid prescription from their Doctor and who can’t afford the medications. APA is successful at securing medications at nominal or no fee for hundreds of clients by helping them work through the application process with the pharmaceutical organizations. The APA advocates also screen clients for enrollment in many other programs. Some qualify for Medi-Cal, Medicare, CA Exchange but not all medications are covered and some have significant co-payments.
Therefore, we seek and encourage donations to help us support our community. The staff are passionate and committed to the mission. The team play a small part in helping our clients achieve a positive and stable health status.
